What Is SPRED
(Special Religious Education) |
SPRED is a ministry which guides and encourages our special friends with disabilities, such as, mental retardation, autism, Down's Syndrome, in the 22+ age group by providing a method which helps our special friends to know God and to grow in faith along with others in the community.

Can Anyone Volunteer to Serve |
We welcome St. Thomas adult parishioners interested in becoming Helper Catechists to guide and encourage our special friends by giving them their friendship on this enriching journey. Helper Catechists meet for a short adult planning session after our group SPRED session. You can become a part of this wonderful ministry for a spiritually nourishing and pleasant time. Refreshments are shared during the session.

We meet every other Wednesday evening, end of September through March, with our special friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. followed by a short adult planning session. We meet in the new Parish Center next to the church in a friendly, sensitive, fun environment.
