Catechists

Persons are needed to lead "small groups" of children in Preschool through eight grade.  Small groups being in mid-September and continue through late April.  Each session is 1 1/2 hours and requires about 1 hours of preparation.  Formation and support is provided.

  Substitute Catechists

Substitutes are needed to be on cal when one of the regular catechists is unable to be at a session.

  Office Aid

Help is needed in answering the phone and checking attendance records when small groups are in the building.

  Hall Monitors

Volunteers are needed to monitor the halls during class time.  This can be either a monthly or an alternate week commitment.

  Babysitting

We do provide baby sitting for catechists' children during the afternoon Religious Education Programs.  Baby sitters are needed for each of these sessions.  This can be done on a monthly basis or as an alternate week commitment.

  Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is a week long summer program which emphasizes song, stories, art, and play as means by which we bring children closer to God.  Our volunteer staff is comprised of adults, high school students and junior high students.

  SPRED

Special Religious Education bring Christ into the lives of the mentally educable children and adults.  The program here at St. Thomas meets every Wednesday evening for approximately 2 hours from September to May.  Training is provided.

Children ages 4 - 7 are invited to gather in church in a small group at the beginning of our 9:30 mass to explore the day's readings at their level.
