What Is Faith Formation?
The Faith Formation Ministry is a process by which the parishioners from St. Thomas of Villanova and surrounding parishes within the Chicago Archdiocese have the opportunity to grow in their faith through various educational and enrichments activities.
This ministry brings to the parish more opportunities for what the U.S. Catholic Bishops call "Adult Faith Formation by which people consciously grow in the life of Christ through experience, reflection, prayer, and study."
Where Can One Obtain More Information?
You can obtain more information about our ministry by contacting the Parish Office at 847-358-6999 or through our email service at stovparish@stov.org. The Parish Office will then put you in touch with one of our representatives.
Our
Mission Statement
We, the Faith Formation Team of St Thomas of
Villanova, united in our desire to foster a deeper knowledge and
appreciation of our Catholic faith, call upon the Holy Spirit for
guidance to best fulfill our commitment to:
- Create an
atmosphere of continuing religious education for all ages.
- Provide a
better understanding of our Catholic history, faith and views.
- Increase
understanding of God’s word through Catholic scripture studies.
- Share our
Catholic faith through personal witness and performing community
service. Our outreach programs extend to our parish, local
community and beyond, as we answer God’s call to love one
another.
We share our gifts and ourselves through the
power of the Holy Spirit and do these works in the name of our
Savior, Jesus Christ, for the greater glory of God.
