What Is CRHP (Christ Renews His Parish)?

The "Christ Renews His Parish" (CRHP) program centers around the renewal process and stresses a clear focus on the Good News of Jesus Christ. It emphasizes continued spiritual growth in our daily Christian lives.

What Happens During the Weekend?

The weekend is an opportunity to listen and discuss how Christians function in our modern world. It is also an opportunity for individual spiritual renewal through scripture, prayer, personal reflection and connection with others seeking His love.

Who May Attend?

CRHP is open to all St. Thomas of Villanova parishioners, age 21 or older. We also WELCOME members from the extended Christian Community.

When and Where Do These Weekends Take Place?

There is one weekend for men and one weekend for women that takes place twice a year. These weekend sessions are conducted at our new Parish Center. The weekend begins at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and ends at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. You can call the Parish Office at 847-358-6999 for more information, for upcoming dates and details!

Will I Be Able to Attend Mass?

The Eucharistic will be celebrated Saturday night and Mass will be celebrated Sunday. An opportunity for reconciliation will be provided for anyone who desires this sacrament.

Where Do I Sleep?

Sleeping accommodations are in the new Parish Center. Roll-away beds are provided. You are asked to bring your own sleeping bag or sheets and pillow, along with your own towel, soap, and other toiletries that you might need. We will extend every effort to ensure your comfort.

What About Meals?

Meals are provided by St. Thomas of Villanova CRHP Community. There will be regular breaks with coffee, soft drinks, and tons of snacks. We will do our best to accommodate dietary needs.

What Do I Wear?

Casual and comfortable clothing is appropriate for both Saturday and Sunday. Don't forget to bring your pajamas and toiletries.

Who Conducts the Weekend?

The CRHP weekend is conducted by a team made up of two spiritual directors and a group of people who have attended previous weekends. This team strengthens their own renewal process by giving of themselves and presenting the weekend to a new group of invitees.

What Does the Weekend Cost?

The team and CRHP community donate their time, but to help defray the cost of beds, food, and materials, we ask each participant and team member to donate $45.00. If you cannot afford the fee, please do not let that stop you from attending. . . .EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
